About Me
Joy Hekking has spent her career in the financial services industry. She is currently the Servicing Manager at AVANA Capital where she oversees the day to day operations of borrower servicing. She leads the team to ensure that our borrowers’ needs are consistently met. That includes accurate and timely reporting, including payments, notices, and all information stored within the loan accounting system. Her focus throughout her career has been on providing excellent customer service to external as well as internal customers.
Prior to joining AVANA, Joy worked for a CUSO that provided SBA and commercial lending to over 50 Credit Unions throughout the United States. She was an integral part of ensuring that the loan servicing for each Credit Union was met and exceeded. She oversaw all loan servicing aspects and guaranteed that all SBA and USDA reporting was done in a timely manner. Her role prior to the CUSO was at a local Credit Union. For over 18 years she learned all aspects of banking, she started as a teller and worked her way up through the branch as a financial services representative and into branch management. She was a top producing SBA loan officer and that position helped to grow her knowledge of commercial and SBA lending that would then lead her to the CUSO and AVANA Capital.
Joy went to the University of Utah pursuing Sociology. She has taken extensive customer service and management training and she is always looking for ways to help small businesses succeed.
